He had started his journey into sounds as a young teenager, experienced by various styles, from chillout music, through club music to dark ones. Once he realized that his music is not just a conglomerate of tones and forced by friends decided to send it to wider audience. 2001 was the time when he was into drumandbass, shortly after he met Pr0t0n – his mate from D-Vision, then they started working together, playing eclectic house/speed garage/2step sets on lots of gigs in Poland. 2004 – a decisive year. It was the time when CJ and Pr0t0n signed their first contract with Final Cutt Records. This brings two EPs: European Vibes Vol.1 and Vol.2. Soon after this success, it’s time for next Release – CJ’s remix of big tune J Sweet feat Aaron – ‘Going Through’ on white label. 2006 – a year they had signed to DPR Rec. In the meantime CJ in collaboration with Martino B created speed garage / bassline based duo known as Urban Impulz. This collaboration gives three EPs to date: February 2007 “Sarasota EP”, released in Inner Groove Records, August 2007 “Bouncy Basslines Vol.1″ in their own label Urban Impulz Records, end of 2007 – long awaited “Jump EP” in Big Bad Records, and beginning of 2008 “Unreleased Collection Vol.1″, again Inner Groove Records.
Soon after this, Urban Impulz gathered three djs and producers: Pr0t0n, Local Hero and Sebastian W. Meanwhile, with Local Hero and very mysterious musician Roodolph, decided to run Psycho Drunk Androids On Steroids.
In 2009, with his mates from Urban Impulz, started releasing mp3 material in their own Urban Impulz Records label. They pushed out few eps, mostly of local dance music producers (Tactical Fun and Toofer for example). Sep 2009, a new reissue of legendary 2step producer Steve Gurley had seen the daylight – with a vocal 2 step remix made by CJ Reign…
In the meantime, CJ playes his very own radio show, CJ’s Grooves Live Mix, presenting his tunes and best in house, garage, bassline music and other grooves. Catch him live, each and every Monday from 8 to 10 pm CET + 1, on Urban Impulz Radio.
